Nova Pioneer is seeking a Humanities and Setswana Teacher to teach Intermediate Phase grades at their Paulshof Primary School in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role involves leading instruction using an inquiry-based learning approach, mentoring apprentice teachers, and collaborating with Deans of Instruction for continuous professional growth. Teachers will be responsible for delivering impactful lessons, assessing student progress, and participating in co-curricular activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons
• Observe, coach, and mentor apprentice teachers
• Foster student engagement and academic excellence
• Conduct assessments and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with Deans and participate in professional development
• Communicate regularly with parents
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a Bachelor's Degree + Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specializing in Intermediate Phase
• SACE registered
• Experience in teaching Humanities and Setswana or curriculum knowledge
• Understanding of the Cambridge curriculum is advantageous
• Ability to independently lead a classroom
